Class of 2024

LEADERSHIP ST. PETE

As one of the oldest leadership programs in the country, Leadership St. Pete® seeks to identify, recruit, and develop leaders who represent the diversity of our local community. LSP challenges its class members to view issues in our community, state, and nation as opportunities. Through class interaction and discussions with community leaders, LSP stimulates creative thinking, and, ultimately, community leaders emerge with new resources and knowledge to face their everyday challenges.

Class members build lasting relationships throughout the program’s three elements: leadership training, the class project, and educational seminars. Small team collaboration on each of the program’s educational seminars and a class-wide community service project provide opportunities to form meaningful relationships with fellow class members, while simultaneously positively impacting our community.

The Class of 2024 Chooses St. Pete Youth Farm

The Leadership St. Pete® Class of 2024 is excited to announce their class project titled "Sprouting Success". The St. Pete Youth Farm, located in south St. Petersburg, provides an environment where anyone can access locally grown produce and learn how to grow their own food. The farm offers hands-on learning experiences and programming to teens, fostering the development of leadership and entrepreneurship skills while promoting mental health and overall wellness. Their mission includes developing future leaders, which aligns with the LSP Class of 2024's goal of supporting initiatives that benefit our youth and the community as a whole.

Support the LSP Class of 2024 as they raise $50,000 to:

  • Improve the farm's multi-use areas with permanent ground coverings, shade, and rain protection to create more functional spaces for programming, meetings, and classes.
  • Enhance the main gathering space with comfortable, permanent seating during training, workshops, and other events.
  • Upgrade the outdoor kitchen and food preparation areas to serve more local residents.

The revitalized St. Pete Youth Farm will be a place for community members to learn, grow, and thrive. Contribute today and be a part of growing the future leaders of St. Petersburg!

The Planning Committee

LSP is a volunteer run program of the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce. LSP leadership is comprised of an Executive Committee (EC) and a Planning Committee (PC). Applications for the 2024 Planning Committee are now closed.
